In case anyone missed the notice, Loudoun County is holding public input sessions for the county’s planning efforts. These sessions are designed to permit the public to weigh in on matters that concern them such as traffic, public transit, safety, and environmental issues. The following sessions are being held for the communities of Sterling and Potomac. Potomac is defined as that area north of Route 7 to the Potomac River between the Fairfax line and the Broad Run to the west. Sterling is defined as the area between Dulles Airport and Route 7 and likewise between the Fairfax line and the Broad Run. Those times and places are:

• Thursday, April 24 at River Bend Middle School, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday, May 3 at Park View High School, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• Saturday, May 10 at Seneca Ridge Middle School, 9 a.m. to noon.
• Wednesday, May 14 at Park View High School, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

I’m glad to see some of these sessions being held on Saturdays for those people who work jobs for a living where their presence on the job is considered a requirement and not an option. Congrats to the Supervisors for showing the understanding of the realities of the public’s schedules that others around here clearly lack.
