Thanks, NJW, I appreciate that.
Yes, I really think you’re right about the polls. Considering how badly off they were in the last couple of elections and how easily one group or another could “game the system,” I think the only poll that matters now is the one collected in the ballot booths on 11/4.
You know, when we find out that Obama lost Virginia.

Ric, remember those exit polls ?? Guess what happens election night on the speculation of those exit polls predicts an Obama win, when in fact, the “Bradley Effect” voters were basically walking out of the booth after voting McCain — but were reporting a vote for Obama….

So Monk what are you saying?
It sounds like you are saying you hope the “Bradley Effect” happens. I sure don’t! If people vote against Obama I hope it’s because of the issues and they feel comfortable saying so.
I sure don’t want him to lose or win because of his race, do you?

Monk, what the heck? You may want to clarify your statement.
No one wants the “Bradley Effect” to happen. That would be a nightmare.
That’s not the country I love votes becasue of issues not race.

I meant to say the country I love votes becasue of issues not race, or at least I hope so.

I really can’t put any trust in any poll no matter who it has up or down. This election has too many moving parts for pollsters to keep track of.
Woman on the GOP ticket,
First Black with a real chance on winning,
New voters,
Young voters with only cell phones,
Red states going blue,
Blue states going red,
At this point nothing would surprise me on election night. I guess the polls are interesting, but I think we just don’t know.
(glad to have you back Ric)
