It’s understandable, I suppose, that there’s confusion in the ranks of certain Californians as regards the role of State Constitutions vis-a-vis State Supreme Courts. Their Supreme Court has overturned laws democratically enacted by their state’s legislator so often they apparently think their Supreme Court has the final say about any law passed in the State. Voter turnout in Virginia was way, way up.
