Next up on the Dem’s “toss ‘em under the bus” tour? Joe Lieberman, come on down!

Not that I’m surprised, or anything, but it appears that Joe Lieberman (I-CT) is about to lose his Senate Judiciary Committee chairmanship. With the recent election’s gains, the Dems sure don’t need him as they did over the past couple of years when he was caucusing with them and gave them their 51-49 majority.

Lieberman committed the sin of siding with a fellow senator who actually had the experience to run for the chief executive’s job as opposed to a newbie who hadn’t amassed a record of doing anything more than voting however the Dem leadership said to vote. Clearly, Lieberman’s judgment is suspect, yes?

You know, they tried to run Joe out last election, when they ran a far left whackjob against him in the Demo primary. When Joe got beat, he side-stepped the whackjob, ran as an independent….and promptly beat the Dem who misplaced him in the party.

I like Joe. If nothing else, the man is pragmatic, where the Dems are merely problematic.

I don’ t think any President should just follow old party lines. Our Presidents, more than anyone else, have been in a position to redefine both parties as well as how the world perceives us. Our problems weren’t destroyed or created when Obama became president. What matters now is who can get stuff done and who is still playing out their dysfunctional rhetoric in public.
