Water main break in MD near DC
I sit down to the news while out here in the Ohio valley and I see pictures of home. Or nearby, anyway. A huge, 66-inch water main has broken in Maryland near the community of Potomac, MD. The pictures on TV and on line are astonishing. My deepest appreciation goes to the rescue crews who ran to the sounds of danger and worked to get people clear of what has become a whitewater river in temperatures in the 20′s.
