Ayers denied entrance to Canada

19 January, 2009 (21:30) | Politics | By: ricjames

At least the Canadians show some sense in who they allow in:

Jeffrey Kugler, the executive director for the Center for Urban Schooling at the University of Toronto, said Ayers was deemed not admissible after being pulled aside by Canadian immigration officials while trying to clear customs at the Toronto airport.

Ayers had been invited to speak before the center. He was also scheduled to meet with the Toronto District School Board and do interviews with Canadian television and radio stations, Kugler said.

Ayers alleges he doesn’t know why he was turned away. Yeah, sure he doesn’t. Sounds just like the Canadian immigrations people to pick someone out of line, tell them they’re being denied entry to the country and then not explain why. Bullcrap. Ayers knows exactly why he was turned away and he doesn’t want to admit it. Well, we know why, too, if we think about it for a bit. Perhaps that bit about being an unrepentant domestic terrorist who says he’s left open the possibility of committing more acts of murderous “political activism”?
