Gun sales so brisk the ATF is running out of forms
Remember back in November when I said that gun sales right before the election jumped and again when Obama supporters tried to assure everyone that one of the most left-wing, gun-ban-happy politicians ever elected President was no threat to their 2nd Amendment rights? Well, apparently those assurances have been about as effective on the general population as they were on me. The ATF is reporting that “unprecendented demand” has caused their supply of Form 4473 (the NICS check form required for each purchase) to run dangerously low.
People are apparently less impressed with words uttered by folks whose actions don’t back them up.

It still doesn’t make your attitude anything less than paranoia. The man’s not even in office, and there’s no legislation in the pipe to rip your guns from your cold dead hands. The current president and VP were more likely to release the jack-booted legions of government oppression than the incoming one is, and it didn’t happen. Neither did the mandatory draft that we were worried about several years ago when it became clear that Bush wouldn’t be able to escalate his freedom-on-the-march wars without more bodies in uniform. We were wrong on that, just like you’re wrong now.
But please, keep buying. Just watch your credit limit.

Thoughtful enough not to engage in baseless name-calling, thank you. Obama’s record of votes in the Senate over his brief career and in the state legislature before that are inline with positions associated with left-wing thought and activism and are more consistently found there than any other President who has ever served. Feel free to look up his voting records, they’re in the public domain. Just because you don’t like the sound of it doesn’t change where his votes and actions have landed him in the political spectra.
As for “paranoia”, it’s merely a matter of again paying more attention to how he acts and votes than to whatever soundbyte he and his supporters are peddling at the moment.
Remind me, when was I worried about a mandatory draft? When did Bush ever propose it? When was it ever proposed during his Presidency? Oh yes, it was proposed when a Democrat introduced it. The same Democrat who then voted against it when forced to put his money where his mouth was.
