Dulles rail completion date delayed

It appears they’re extending the expected completion date on phase 2 of the Dulles rail project already. They’re now saying we likely won’t have rail to Dulles Airport until 2016. I’ve mentioned my previous career in the airline industry here before but I’m not sure I ever put a date on it. I started working for Presidential Airways in 1986 as a ramp agent at their Akron-Canton, OH outstation. (I came out here in 1987.) I recall very clearly being told that the DC Metro system was going to be extended out to Dulles “probably in a couple of years.”

It’s going to take almost 30 years from that point to get it done. Yeesh.
