Biden’s aides say VP didn’t leak classified info regarding secret bunker

After 9/11 there were several instances where then-VP Dick Cheney was said to be at some secure “undisclosed location.” There were rumors about where it was, of course, but the exact location was the “un-” part of undisclosed. Or, rather, until Joe Biden opened his yap again a few days ago.

She [Newsweek's Eleanor Clift] wrote that Biden, while at the Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, described to fellow guests the “bunker-like room” that served as the “secure, undisclosed location” where Cheney holed up after the terror attacks.

“He said the young naval officer giving him a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with shelves filled with communications equipment,” she wrote.

“The officer explained that when Cheney was in lock down, this was where his most trusted aides were stationed, an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn’t be surprised that the policies that emerged were off the wall.”

To say nothing of the shelf-loads of communications equipment in the “narrow connecting hallway…” Alexander adds insult to… er, insult by not only expecting us to believe that but to also swallow that Biden wasn’t talking about an underground location but, rather, an upstairs bedroom.

I supposed I shouldn’t be surprised that a hopelessly incompetent Senator turned hopelessly incompetent Vice President would have a hopelessly incompetent staff spewing nonsense masquerading as actual public statements from the nation’s 2nd highest office. But, honestly, folks…
