Canadian suggestion: go home to die so we can free up the hospital bed.

According to some Canadian ‘researcher’, if you have a dying aunt in the hospital you should encourage her to get the hell out of there and go home and let someone else have her bed because she is a selfish bastard:

The story linked there described the suggestion by Donna Wilson at the University of Alberta that people “should be encouraged to die at home rather than in a hospital.” This from the folks who think government-run healthcare is a great idea. So, debate question: how much effort do you think they’ll put into actually saving lives when this is in the back of their minds?
