From the meet & greet at the Leesburg Panera: Erica Garman

When I saw the Twitter note the other day that LoudounExtra’s Erica Garman was going to hold a meet & greet in Leesburg at lunchtime today I decided to make a point to get out there. When I arrived, lo’ and behold, I was graced with the presence of not 1 lovely and talented writer but 3.

Erica blogs on LoudounExtra’s Living in LoCo and if you’re a nearby resident who hasn’t taken the opportunity to read her stuff, you’re missing out. She’s a great person with a steady eye and a ready ear on matters of importance here in Loudoun. I point out her latest missive on the possibility of DC United putting a soccer stadium out here. Erica’s friends (whom I will leave to Erica to either introduce by name or not as she sees fit) are also successful writers and as lovely and charming as Erica herself. Being the only amateur keyboard hack at the table was only mildly intimidating. They had some interesting suggestions about building locations for the soccer stadium and some other interesting suggestions for what to build in those places should the stadium not work out. One of these days, we’ll have to prevail upon them to share with everyone. (Heh heh…)

In any case, a very enjoyable afternoon. If you get the chance to shake hands with Madam LoCo in the future, do take it.
