Presidential Golf Club in Ashburn to reopen as 1757 Golf Club
There’s a new place to swing the iron here in Loudoun, the 1757 Golf Club. Erica Garman over at Living in LoCo has the scoop, complete with a very recent update containing greens fees and whatnot. Even better: 1757 will be open to the public rather than continuing the Presidential’s $60K membership fee.
According to the update, senior VP Rich Katz says the course will be open for play on Friday. I’m out of commission for at least a month or so but I’m looking forward to hearing from any fellow greens-hackers as to their experiences.
The club is part of the Billy Casper Golf company but they don’t have a web site running yet. When they do, I’ll find a link and post it.

Yeah, I wish I could. The Doc told me this week to not even swing a club for a month and it might have to slip to 2 months depending on the stress test coming up on the 9th. We’ll have to see what’s happening then.
Hey, there’s always Tiger Woods ’09 on the Wii!
