This week I’m entering a class – a bootcamp, really – in preparation for the most challenging certification in the information technology field, the CCIE. I’ll be in the class from 8:00 in the morning to past 5:30 in the evening which means the time available for blogging is going to be a lot tighter. Add to that the fact that the CCIE is the big-brain cert in the industry and I have a feeling my cognitive skills are going to be… ah… less than optimal by the time I get home.
Wish me luck and I’ll try to pop you an update when I get home tomorrow.

I’d like to wish a happy father’s day to all my fellow fathers. To those of us locally, I distinctly recall the local weather forecast for today was to have been sunny and less humid! Obviously, that hasn’t happened but let us not allow this to dampen our spirits (brewed or distilled at your discretion) nor our enthusiasm for the world’s best job: Dad.
Here’s a special wish for this day to the fellow men in my family. May the day remind us of the good times and let the other memories rest until tomorrow.
And here’s to you, too, Dad. We miss you.
