Eunice Kennedy Shriver, dead at 88
Eunice Mary Kennedy Shriver, sister of assassinated US President John F. Kennedy, passed away this morning. She was 88 years old. Kennedy Shriver was a founder of the Special Olympics, something that Virginia’s Knights of Columbus Councils are very involved with. All of us are indebted to her for her efforts on the behalf of the mentally disabled.
May Your light shine upon her this day, O Lord, and may You welcome her into your presence in heaven. We ask this in Jesus’ name…
