Art Linketter, dead at 97

Art Linkletter, TV icon during the early days of TV up through the 60′s, has passed away at the age of 97. Known for hosting TV variety shows in the 50′s and 60′s, he was also the author of the best-selling “Kids Say the Darndest Things!“

I loved Art Linkletter! He was an advocate for the elderly and a critic of the AARP. He was also a successful businessman in dozens of endeavors, an entrepreneur and solid Republican. He was married for close to 68 years – not too shabby. He lead a good life.
