USMC, 235 years. Happy Birthday, Marines!
It was 235 years ago today that the Continental Congress passed the resolution that chartered the Continental Marines, the start of the US Marine Corp. Happy Birthday, Devil Dogs!

Today I’d like to remember my father-in-law, Ret MGySgt USMC Robert John McNickle. He passed away in 2006, and was not only an excellent Marine but a truly remarkable man.
Robert John McNickle II (my son) has some big shoes to fill – quite literally – Bob wore a size 13!
